Eva Solo was established over 100 years ago. Today, the company is managed and owned by Jan Engelbrecht, who represents the fourth generation of the founder’s family. Jan’s mother, Eva, is the namesake of the company, and his grandfather was one of its three former CEOs.

Eva Solo’s distinctive designs have long reflected the evolution of the modern home. The company began with functional, high-quality kitchen utensils for the Scandinavian housewife—exemplified by its bread and meat slicing machine from 1952. As women entered the labour market, Eva Solo developed tools to make life easier in the kitchen. In the 1970s, when open-plan kitchens became popular, it was the first company to produce kitchen equipment stylish enough to leave out on display.

Today, Eva Solo is known for the functional and high-quality design of its products, staying true to its heritage. It has grown into a modern, innovative, and international design company with about 60 employees. The head office is located just outside Copenhagen, Denmark, and its products are sold worldwide. Despite being a fourth-generation family business, Eva Solo continues to evolve, always looking ahead to the next generation of designs.
