Spring into Christmas

Spring has appeared out of a gloomy long winter with a flourish and fanfare of fresh blossoms. The trees somehow seemed ready to burst forth with more gusto than usual, hopefully foretelling of good things to come. And as the last blossoms turn into fresh soft greenery we are suddenly turning our attention to Christmas!

“Christmas?” I hear you cry, “In October?” In the four and a half years I’ve been here, our suppliers have been hit with covid, followed by international shipping delays and so on. But this year it appears the cogs are turning a little better and things are arriving when they are expected; resulting in boxes of new goodies piling up in store which we are furiously unpacking, loading and merchandising.

We had some decisions to make; do we keep our furry friends and sparkling treats behind closed doors until November or do we release them to the Christmas wizards who like to start their planning and preparation nice and early? The decision was easily made, with this year being economically tough we decided that allowing people a few more weeks to spread out their Christmas preparations seemed to make sense to all.

AND SO, we have been very busy unpacking and sorting all our goodies hoping they will love their new homes.

Sweet Therapy

As this page seems to be heavily on the indulgence for body mind and pet, it seems only sensible that our sweet gratification is from the small hand-crafted fudge business, Sweet Therapy.

We were sent an extremely tempting and tantalising taste test - needless to say we were won over the instant we popped a piece in our mouth! In a range of five flavours we have no lucky winner. In fact we may just have to keep testing to see if we can have a clear favourite!

A little like the Melbourne Cup Vanilla Bean was first out of the starting gates when Salted caramel slipped on past. Tucked in behind was Lemon Meringue, Raspberry & White Chocolate with the long odds Ginger and Walnut not out of the race and making a very determined stride to the finish line.
