Wood and Chisel - Rimu Vase

In response to being surrounded by everyday objects that lacked creativity and beauty, Christchurch’s Wood & Chisel brings you stunning pieces that inject some of that joy and magic back into your everyday. Each piece is designed and executed by Ōtautahi local, John Robertson who hand-turns and carves each item in his small workshop attached to his family home, making each piece truely unique. 

With woods salvaged from all over Aotearoa, these dried flower vases are perfect on their own, or as a set. Fill them with dried blooms, incense, taper candles for a romantic dinner setting and more. Every kiwi knows the beautiful bronzed glow of Rimu timber- and this vase is no exception; with an organic shape that compliments the undulating grain of the wood, this Rimu vase is the perfect gift for someone who has everything, or the perfect self-gift to treat yourself to a piece of one of New Zealand’s most coveted timbers.
