Wood and Chisel - Tōtara Scoop

In response to being surrounded by everyday objects that lacked creativity and beauty, Christchurch’s Wood & Chisel brings you stunning pieces that inject some of that joy and magic back into your everyday. Each piece is designed and executed by Ōtautahi local, John Robertson who hand-turns and carves each item in his small workshop attached to his family home, making each piece truely unique. 

Perfect for flour or any other bulk grain, this beautiful scoop started life as salvaged wood from the bottom of a river in the far north of New Zealand where it had lay for 150 years; naturally preserved in mineral-rich, low-oxygen-level cold water.
