BLUNT is excited to announce a meaningful collaboration with New Zealand's leading youth mental health charity, I Am Hope.
I Am Hope is dedicated to fostering positive societal attitudinal change, particularly within schools. While mental health challenges are not a new phenomenon, they are a new experience for young individuals. This is why I Am Hope is committed to providing mental health education in a language that resonates with them, delivered by relatable individuals. The design of this umbrella serves as a
symbolic representation of the ebb and flow of emotions. It signifies that healing is a non-linear journey. Regardless of what someone is feeling, it's acknowledged and accepted. The message is clear – it's okay not to be positive all the time.
The swirling patterns on the umbrella convey movement and changing thoughts, visually expressing the idea of "thoughts all over the place." It mirrors the process of navigating life's ups and downs, facing setbacks, and undergoing personal journeys. We all encounter challenging thoughts, and it's crucial to normalise conversations around mental health. Let's create a space where children feel comfortable seeking help. Breaking the taboo surrounding mental health is essential for fostering a supportive and understanding community.
