Part time florist and retail sales position 1. Our team is expanding and we have an immediate opening for the right person to join our beautiful & sustainable store, The Flower Crate 2. We are looking for someone with floristry experience and a passion for sustainable floristry to step into a weekend part time florist & retail sales role. 3. WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY 🌸Floristry and retail experience with a desire to develop in our supportive & creative space 🌸Someone who brings an independent mindset, a strong work ethic, and common sense to the table 🌸A genuine passion for sustainable floristry 🌸Someone who has open communication and exceptional customer service 🌸Develops and maintains positive working relationships with staff, customers & neighbouring businesses 🌸The ability to work solo 4. WHAT WE’RE OFFERING 🌼 Approx 15+ hours per week, with additional hours available during busy periods. 🌼 A collaborative team environment with great people who love what they do. 🌼 A commitment to equality and treating all people with respect 🌼 This role contributes to the smooth running of The Flower Crate over the weekend opening hours ensuring positive customer experiences. The correct person to join our growing family will be working part time, and Saturday & Sunday are a must. You will need to have solid floristry experience (preferably with good sustainable experience) as well as strong retail experience, good initiative as you will often be working alone and an interest in all things flowers, plants and design A formal CV isn’t a requirement, but please list relevant former work experience and how it aligns with the job description if it adds to your application. WRAPPING FOR A GOOD CAUSE This December we will be asking all our customers for a $2 donation to have their purchases beautifully wrapped in store. We wrap a lot of presents in December! So what better way to donate to an extremely worthy charity? This year we have chosen Kids in Need, Waikato “We make each child a special care pack that has been thoughtfully put together by our amazing volunteers. Each care pack is personalised to the child’s age, size and interests, with products donated by the local community. It’s about making a difficult time just a little bit easier.” We think that is the perfect group to help out this Christmas and we hope you support us in raising as much as we possibly can.
